Texas Health Resources is seeking to hire a Product Development Leader

Salary: Min $53.91 – Max $85.99, based on relevant work experience.

Full Time: 40 hours per week
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

This position is responsible for driving digital product and feature priorities across the spectrum of Texas Health Resources' digital and consumer experience, including web, mobile and social. In the quest to maximize user satisfaction and engagement, this position will integrate digital best practices, usability studies, business and consumer needs and benefits, and market analysis into digital product requirements. This position will leverage web metrics and consumer data to drive decision making and strategy results in highly effective, and continuously improving, digital applications.

  • Analyze the external marketplace, customers, competitors and technology trends to stay abreast of a rapidly changing product management landscape.
  • Understand consumer needs and business priorities to define the vision and objectives for the product supported. Develop deep customer understanding, particularly around how customers use various channels including digital for their needs throughout the customer journey and then identify new innovative solutions to solve unmet customer needs. Own customer/feature prioritization across the customer experience and actively contribute to technology prioritization to drive the highest value for customers.
  • Develop digital capabilities and product development road-maps.
  • Identify and track key success metrics (e.g., adoption, usage, task accomplishment and customer satisfaction) for the application and utilize the application's metrics to make informed decisions and deliver on consumer objectives.
  • Collaborate on user experience and development with our user experience (UX), internal and external teams, help remove roadblocks for the development team, and be the go-to person for business decisions for that product.
  • Provide business consulting and product expertise to internal stakeholders enabling comprehensive solution to be delivered to the market. Facilitate product discussions and white boarding for product implementation and technical solutions from one to many applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. Identify use cases, roles and other business requirements for each product inviting inputs from consumers, consumer insights etc. Develop solutions to refine the product by building extensions and enhancements. Produce and manage client-facing product documentation. Conduct implementation pilots and help plan the final roll-out strategy. Develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Participates in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Digital related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Product Management preferred.
  • 6 years of relevant work experience required. Including, but not limited to: managing large-scale, enterprise level projects; consumer product design, development, and/or implementation; and/or consumer insights analysis and consumer testing. Healthcare experience highly desirable.
  • 3 years of experience consumer/digital product experience preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated success of leading consumer application and capability strategy and execution from concept to launch.
  • Previous experience using metrics and voice of the customer feedback to understand how customers interact with THR applications for their needs and make informed decisions on enhancements to increase adoption, engagement, satisfaction and task accomplishment.
  • Ability to lead, influence and inspire cross-functional groups.
  • Detail oriented; able to care for multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset, bias for action and a passion for delivering great customer experiences.
  • Strong technical understanding of digital technologies and trends.
  • Have an analytical orientation and possess strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions.
  • Possess well-developed business judgment which permits the creation of meaningful insight from potentially disparate findings. The ability to think creatively and across the enterprise about solutions is a key success factor in the role.
  • Demonstrate a passion for ownership through a track record of successfully achieving results in a complex work environment. Tenacity and resourcefulness are essential.
  • Have strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think end-to-end, establish priorities, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have strong communications (written/verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Preferable knowledge of back-end systems and connections.
  • Preferable knowledge of working in a content managed system/environment.
  • Very comfortable with Agile methodologies (like SaFE etc.) and running initiatives using those methodologies.
